When Should You Order Your Wedding Stationery? A Complete Timeline

Wedding stationery is more than just invitations, it’s the first impression your guests will have of your big day! But when should you order each piece to avoid last minute stress? This guide will walk you through the ideal wedding stationery timeline.

9–12 Months Before the Wedding: Save the Dates
If you're having a destination wedding or inviting guests from afar, send your Save the Dates early to give them plenty of notice.

4–6 Months Before: Invitations
Your invitations should be sent out at least 4–6 months before the wedding, allowing time for RSVPs and guest arrangements.

6–8 Weeks Before: On the Day Stationery
Menus, place cards, and signage should be finalised about two months before the wedding to ensure everything is printed and ready.

2–4 Weeks After: Thank You Cards
Don’t forget to send out thank you cards within a month after the wedding, it’s a thoughtful way to show appreciation to your guests.

By following this timeline, you’ll stay organised and stress free while ensuring your wedding stationery arrives on time and looks perfect!
